Collaboration with Piscopo Gardens

The Eastern Regional Council successfully collaborated with Piscopo Gardens on 5 educational school visits across our Region, benefiting 305 Year 3 students. The participating schools are; Stella Maris College Gżira, St Clare College Pembroke, St Joseph Junior School Sliema, Sacred Heart College St Julian’s and St Catherine’s High School Pembroke.
All school visits took place during the months of March and April 2025. Each event was split into two parts, with the first part being a fun interactive presentation session carried out by members from Piscopo Gardens, while the second part being a hands-on plant and seed planting session. The aim of the event was to teach students about the importance and diversity of plants and seeds, while strengthening the bond between them and nature, especially during the hands-on planting session. Piscopo Gardens also generously gave vouchers to all participating students, to purchase their own plants at home.
As a Region we give great importance to such projects, aiming to continue increasing environmental awareness especially for the future generation in schools. The project was received very well by both students and teachers, and we look forward to collaborating on more interesting and environmentally friendly initiatives. We would like to deeply thank Piscopo Gardens for sponsoring us and collaborating with us on this project.
