The Eastern Region Calendar 2025
In this year’s annual regional calendar, the Eastern Regional Council proudly features a captivating collection of historical photographs from the Eastern Region, spanning the 1910s to the 1960s. Carefully sourced from the National Archives of Malta and contributions from local residents, these images provide a window into the region’s rich cultural heritage and storied past.
To create a deeper connection and leave a lasting impact on viewers, we took an innovative approach: revisiting the exact locations where these historic photos were originally taken. By juxtaposing the past with the present, we showcase how the landscapes have transformed over the course of 60 to 100 years, offering a thought-provoking reflection on the passage of time and the evolution of our surroundings.
