ReWired: Crafting Art from E-Waste Workshop
📣 Are you an artist with a flair for sustainability and creative reuse? ♻️
Did you know your old phone could outlive you—in a landfill? 😳
Every year, millions of electronic devices are thrown away, fueling the global e-waste crisis. Between 2015 and 2020, the world produced over 1.5 billion smartphones and gadgets, and today we’re discarding nearly 50 million tons of them annually.
What’s worse? Around 80% of that e-waste is recyclable—packed with valuable metals, plastics, and glass. Yet most of it ends up in landfills, where it takes centuries to break down, releasing toxins into our soil and water.
But here’s the exciting part:
🌱 You can be part of the solution.
Join ReWired — a unique initiative turning discarded electronics into powerful, thought-provoking art. This is more than a workshop; it’s a movement that fuses sustainability with creativity, raising awareness while giving e-waste a second life through upcycled design.
Led by renowned international designer Rosanna Cirasuolo of Rosanna Gioielli, this hands-on experience will give you fresh insight into sustainable design and artistic transformation.
🔌 Only 8 spots available — secure yours before they’re gone!
💶 Workshop fee: €15 (per session) — all proceeds go to MSPCA
🎨 Final works will be showcased in a public exhibition this November, during the popular Thrift Pop-Up on the 28th and 29th of November.
Since we will be using tools and materials this workshop is open to 18+ ONLY
