The Eastern Regional Council proudly achieved remarkable recognition during the European Week for Waste Reduction, securing the position of 2nd runner-up for the Waste Management Award. This accomplishment highlights the Council’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable practices and responsible waste management within the community .
In addition to this achievement, the innovative project ReWired E-Waste Workshop, developed in collaboration with MSPCA Charity Shops, also earned top recognition by winning the Innovation Category Award. This initiative focused on raising awareness about electronic waste while encouraging creative reuse and recycling solutions, empowering participants to rethink how e-waste can be managed more sustainably.
