Custom Wooden Bins for Waste Separation at Local Events
The Eastern Regional Council has invested in the following two fully customised wooden bis structures together with ten fully customised matching bins. These bins are being used at local feasts and events organised throughout the localities that make part of the Eastern Regional Council.
Collaboration with Piscopo Gardens
The Eastern Regional Council successfully collaborated with Piscopo Gardens on 5 educational school visits across our Region, benefiting 305 Year 3 students. The participating schools are; Stella Maris College Gżira, St Clare College Pembroke, St Joseph Junior School Sliema, Sacred Heart College St Julian’s and St Catherine’s High School Pembroke.
Easter Competition and Awards 2025

Eastern Regional Football Tournament
On the 26th of April 2025, the Eastern Regional Council organised its first ever Regional Football tournament. This tournament was organised in collaboration with Sportify Sports Academy and in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

The Eastern Region Calendar 2025
In this year’s annual regional calendar, the Eastern Regional Council proudly features a captivating collection of historical photographs from the Eastern Region, spanning the 1910s to the 1960s. Carefully sourced from the National Archives of Malta and contributions from local residents, these images provide a window into the region’s rich cultural heritage and storied past.
Christmas Card Competition
Our Christmas Card Competition for under-14s was a fantastic showcase of young talent! We received wonderful entries from across the region, each capturing the spirit of the season with unique interpretations of our festive themes: Traditional Maltese Christmas, Christmas in the Eastern Region, and Christmas with Local Fauna. The creativity and passion shown by our young artists made it a challenge for our esteemed panel to select the winners.
Bolol Reġjonal
“Bolol Reġjonali” showcases 12 paintings, one representing each locality in the Eastern Region of Malta.

Bird Nest Boxes
The Eastern Regional Council has recently commissioned 12 Bird Nest Boxes, crafted in consultation with BirdLife Malta, adhering to the outlined specifications by the organisation.
60+ Years Residents

School Starter Pack Project – Second Edition
Following the huge success regarding the first edition of the School Starter Pack Project the Eastern Regional Council decided to redo the project for the second year running. Since the young generation is the future the Eastern Regional Council priorities such investments for the following age group, as it’s vital for the younger age groups to be educated & made environmentally aware.
The Eastern Regional Calendar 2023
