The main aim of this project was to show students together with their parents/guardians that there are other more sustainable alternatives to the common plastic stationery bought at the start of each scholastic year. Additionally, this project functioned as financial aid to parents who annually splurge on school material.
The Starter Pack was distributed at the beginning of the new scholastic year (2022 -2023) and thus between the end of September and October 2022. The distribution process involved members from the Eastern Regional Council & respective Local Council’s to go to all the schools & catechism centres eligible for this project, deliver a short interactive speech about the products to all Year 1 students & then give the stationery set to all the students. The Eastern Regional Council would like to thank the schools & catechism centres involved as well as the respective Local Council’s for their full cooperation in ensuring the success of this project.
